Dr. Thome completed her undergrad degree at MIT (Nuclear Science & Eng) and her Masters and PhD at UW Madison (Eng Phys & Nuclear science). She is currently a plasma physicist at the DIII-D National Fusion Facility with a broad background in tokamak physics, transport, ion cyclotron emission, tokamak operations and diagnostics. She is passionate about conducting STEM outreach to underrepresented groups in physics.
