All plasma physics undergrad and graduate students we would like to invite you to Student Day 2022!
Student Day is a ½ day event planned by students for students on the Sunday before APS DPP October 16th from 1PM - 6PM.
Since its inception in 2019, Student Day has grown every year to ~70 students in 2021.
Student Day was created with the dual purpose of preparing students for the science of DPP and to create an opportunity for students to meet each other and foster a welcoming community.
Student Day is targeted towards all levels of students, from incoming or early graduate students who are still learning about our field to more advanced students who are interested in communicating their research in low-stakes and often non-traditional manner. To do this, Student Day is roughly split 50/50 between review talks and community-building activities such as Science Games, Lightning-Talks, and a Mental Health panel
Registration is $25 paid with registration for APS-DPP and includes dinner and snacks. Please note that if you cannot arrive on the day of due to flights, we encourage you to arrive a day early if possible!
Please share this website and Student Day with all students you know who are coming to APS DPP!
We look forward to meeting you!
